Emine Şenyaşar: Release my son
On the 653rd of the sit-in protest for justice, Emine Şenyaşar said, “Release my son and arrest the murderers.”
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 653rd day.
In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse to demand justice for their killed relatives. They held the banner reading, “Justice” because the area where they hung their banner was closed by official vehicles once again.
‘I will stay here’
“I will stay here until my son is released,” Emine Şenyaşar said, “When they release my son, we will go to our home. They opened fire on my son in our workplace. They killed my family members at the hospital. Those who killed my sons and my husband must be arrested.” Pointing out that her son Fadıl Şenyaşar has been kept in a solitary cell for five years, Emine Şenyaşar said, “They killed three members of my family. At least, they should release my son. We demand the arrest of those who killed my family members. We demand justice.”
Social media post
“Justice has been crawling on the ground in #Şanlıurfa for 653 days. The MPs of the AKP cannot go out in public in Urfa… The people are the witnesses to this injustice and persecution,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account.
