Emine Şenyaşar, her son taken into custody

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have been detained before the visit of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Pervin Buldan to Riha.

Riha (Şanlıurfa)- The sit-in protest for justice staged by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 128th day today.

Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar were taken into custody by police within the scope of an investigation opened against them for “insulting a public official” while going to the Urfa Courthouse to hold their sit-in protest. They have been held in Urfa Police Station.

Detention before the visit of the HDP

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Pervin Buldan is expected to visit Riha today. On May 20, Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar were also taken into custody just before the visit of Pervin Buldan. The family members were released after Pervin Buldan left the city.
