Shengal- Eight people, who were killed in the Turkish airstrike on Sikêniyê People’s Hospital in Shengal on August 17, were laid to rest today in Shengal. Thousands of people attended the funeral ceremony.

Doctor Muhlise Sidar, who went to Shengal after the genocide committed by ISIS on August 3, 2014, to heal the wounds of Yazidis, was one of the killed people in the Turkish airstrike. Arab and Kurdish women shouted slogans while carrying her coffin on their shoulders.

Yazidi women blame Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi for the attack

After the burial of eight people, Shengal Women's Defense Units administrator Axin İntiqam made a speech. She expressed their anger and her condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement (TAJÊ) member Xoxê Cindî also made a speech and said, “Turkey bombed a hospital in front of the eyes of the world because it lost its control. Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi is one of those responsible for the attack.”
