Egyptian Actress Loses Her life in Home Fire

Egyptian actress Nevin Mendor lost her life at the age of 53,after a fire broke out in her apartment in Alexandria and caused her to suffocate before rescue teams could arrive.

News Center – Nevin Mendor was known for her love of acting from a young age. She participated in school and university theater productions before transitioning to the professional acting world. She then disappeared from the spotlight for many years, leaving her few works as a testament to her talent and unique presence.

Media outlets reported on Wednesday, December 17, that Egyptian actress Nevin Mendor has passed away at the age of 53. A fire broke out in her apartment in Alexandria, leading to her suffocation before rescue teams could reach her.

According to statements from the actress's assistant, her husband is accused of causing the fire to seize her assets. The assistant is calling on authorities to investigate the crime.

Nevin Mendor is considered one of the faces who left a distinctive mark despite her limited filmography. She participated in school, then university theater, and made her cinematic debut in the 2003 film "The One on My Mind" (Ally Bali Balak). She rose to fame for her role as "Fayhaa", the wife of an officer – a role that brought her widespread recognition and drew attention to her talent.

In 2005, she appeared in the series "I'll Return to You, Alexandria" (Rajaa'lak Ya Eskenderiya), reaffirming her artistic presence. However, she soon withdrew from the artistic scene, remaining out of the public eye for nearly 17 years. She recently appeared on a television program, revealing the reasons for her long absence, thus returning to the memory of an audience that still recalls her few but impactful roles.
