At least 35 people have been killed in a fire at a residential building in Mangaf, a city in Kuwait, on Wednesday.
News Center- At least 35 people have been killed, 43 others injured in a fire at a residential building in Mangaf, a city of Kuwait, on Wednesday, according to the local reports.
In a statement, the Health Ministry also confirmed that 43 injured people were transferred to hospitals. Authorities said the fire had been brought under control and were investigating what caused it.
“Dozens were rescued, but unfortunately there were many deaths as a result of inhaling smoke from the fire,” a senior police commander told state TV.
The fire broke out at the residential building on Wednesday is one of the worst fires that Kuwait has witnessed over many years, especially after the 2009 Kuwait wedding fire that broke out during a wedding ceremony in Oyoun, Jahra Governorate, Kuwait on August 15, 2009, killing at least 57 people, including children and women.
