DEM Party’s Co-mayoral candidates cast their votes in Amed and Van
DEM Party’s Co-mayoral candidates for Amed (Diyarbakır) and Van casted their votes, calling on people to protect their votes.
Amed (Diyarbakır)- Voters in Turkish and Kurdish cities have been heading to the polls to elect mayors and administrators in local elections since morning. The Co-mayoral candidates of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) for Amed (Diyarbakır) and Van casted their votes.
Serra Bucak, DEM Party’s Co-mayoral candidate for Amed, casted her vote at Ömer Şevki Cizrelioğlu Secondary School in Amed’s Peyas (Kayapınar) district while Doğan Hatun, DEM Party’s Co-mayoral candidate for Amed, casted his vote at Mevlana Halit Secondary School in Amed’s Bağlar district.
After casting her vote, Serra Bucak said, “We wish these elections will lead to peace, freedom, justice and peace in Diyarbakır, Kurdistan and Middle East, where Turkish mothers and Kurdish mothers will never shed tears again; Turkish people and the Kurdish people will live equally, free and fairly together.” She also called on people to protect their votes.
Neslihan Şedal and Abdullah Zeydan, DEM Party’s Co-mayoral candidates for Van casted their votes in Van.
After casting their votes, they called on people to protect their votes. “We struggle to build a life based on democracy, equality and justice,” said Neslihan Şedal. “We can say that we reached all people by visiting village by village and home by home with women, young people and mothers. We call on everyone to cast their votes and protect their votes until election results are announced.”
