Delegation from AANES heads to Damascus

A delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) headed to Syria’s capital Damascus to hold a meeting with Syria’s interim government.

News Center- The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syria’s interim government signed an agreement on March 10, 2025. A delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) headed to Syria’s capital Damascus on Saturday to hold a meeting with Syria’s interim government about the agreement.

After the agreement was signed on March 10, 2025, three meetings were held in northeastern Syria. The first meeting was held on March 19, the second one was held on April 12 and the last one was held last week. At the meeting on April 12, a committee was formed.

According to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA), the delegation consists of Fawza Youssef, Abd al-Hamid al-Mahbash, Ahmad Youssef, Sanhreb Barsoum, and Sozdar Haji, the members of the committee, and Mariam Ibrahim and Yasser Suleiman, the spokespersons of the committee.

The delegation from the AANES is expected to have a meeting with Syria’s interim government this evening.
