Death toll in Iran port explosion rises to 70
The death toll in a massive explosion at the Shahid Rajaee port in the southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas has risen to 70, Iran’s state IRNA news agency reported on Monday.

The death toll has risen to 70, Iran’s state IRNA news agency reported on Monday. 22 people are still missing and 22 bodies have not been identified yet, according to the crisis management director of Hormozgan province.
“Unfortunately, the death toll has reached 70, and the firefighting effort is almost in its final stages," Mehrdad Hassanzadeh, the crisis management director, told IRNA.
On Monday, Iran's interior minister blamed “negligence” for the massive explosion at the country's largest commercial port.
