Death toll in Gaza rises to 27,840

Death toll in Israel’s war on Gaza keeps rising. At least 27,840 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, 2023, the Gaza’s health ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

At least 27,840 Palestinians have been killed, 67,317 have been wounded in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, according to the statement.

More than 340 doctors and health sector workers killed

At least 340 Palestinian medics have been killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila said on Wednesday.

“At least 340 medics have been killed, 900 injured and more than 100 others detained by Israel during its war on Gaza,” she added.

124 journalists killed

The Gaza Media Office said in a statement on Wednesday that Rizq al-Gharabli, director of the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) in the Gaza Strip, lost his life in Israeli airstrikes on the city of Khan Yunis on Tuesday. At least 124 journalists have been killed since Israel waged its bloody war on Gaza on October 7, the statement said.
