Doctors without Borders announced yesterday, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, that drone strikes are increasingly targeting civilian areas across Sudan, noting that the Zalengi Teaching Hospital is one of the few remaining health facilities operating in central Darfur, western Sudan, and is receiving growing numbers of wounded and injured from these attacks.

It explained that the displaced left the cities of Kadugli and Al‑Dalanj, in addition to villages belonging to the town of Habila, due to the deterioration of security conditions.

The organization added that between May 28 and 30, 2,245 people were displaced from South Kordofan amid escalating military tensions in the region. According to the latest statistics issued last February, the number of displaced people from the three Kordofan states (North, West, and South) has exceeded 132,000 since October 15, 2025.
