CHP members visit Şenyaşar family on 276th day of their sit-in protest

CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the party members visited the Şenyaşar family, who has held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 276 days.

Riha- The sit-in protest staged by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, continues on its 276th day.

Today, CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the party members visited the Şenyaşar family in front of the Urfa Courthouse. Emine Şenyaşar told the delegation about their struggle for justice for three years and six months and drew attention to her worsening health problems. Emine Şenyaşar began to cry while telling what had happened to her family members. The lawyers of the family also gave information about the case.

Kılıçdaroğlu: We will bring justice together

Stating that they stand by the family, CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, “We will bring justice together. We will reveal the perpetrators together. Everyone having conscience should stand by the family. This case is not an ordinary case. This case is the case of a mother who lost her children. Her struggle is the struggle for justice. How we cannot hear the scream of a mother.”

After holding the sit-in protest with the Şenyaşar family, the delegation left. The Şenyaşar family posted a tweet to thank the delegation.
