The women’s associations and women members of political parties have issued statements to condemn the increasing femicides. Tunisian women artists have also launched a campaign on social media platforms to draw attention to femicides in the country. They have posted images on their social media accounts.

Since May 10, a campaign has been launched a campaign called, “Rifka Cherni is not the first and will not be the last”. “Stop violence targeting my country’s women. We are really at risk. Implement the laws. Tunisian women have been killed by violence” said artist Suher Bin Emara, who participated in the campaign.

Sawsan Moujel, a Tunisian well-known actress, posted a picture on her Instagram account and said, “Rifka was killed because of your bloody mindset.”

Feminist activist Rania Amdouni said that women in her country have continued to be targeted and she called for severe punishment of perpetrators. Many women posted photos on their social media accounts under the “We are all Rifka Cherni” hashtag.
