Call from TJA to women around world: Hearing of Ayşe Gökhan will be held on June 23”

Free Women’s Movement (TJA) issued a statement to call on all women around the world to attend the hearing of the trial opened against Ayşe Gökhan to be held on June 23. “Let’s shout together for the freedom of Ayşe Gökhan, whose right to defend herself in Kurdish is denied.”

News Center- Free Women’s Movement (TJA) issued a statement about the hearing of trial opened against TJA Spokesperson Ayşe Gökhan to be held on June 23. 
Ayşe Gökhan has staged a nonstop women’s struggle for 34 years, during that time, she has been prosecuted eight times for “being a member of a terrorist organization” and about 200 investigations have been opened against her, says the statement.
Stating that Ayşe Gökhan has been denied to defend herself in Kurdish, the TJA said, “We know Ayşe and we know that she will not give up and keep struggling by using legal and civic methods no matter where she is. Ayşe Gökhan has led the women's freedom struggle with determination and faith for years and inspired all women. She has become more determined as the pressures against her have increased, and she has kept reflecting the understanding of equality and freedom in every sphere of life. The hearing of trial opened against Ayşe Gökhan, whose right to defend herself in Kurdish is denied, was adjourned to June 23, 2021. We have a call to all women around the world: Let’s shout together for the freedom of Ayşe Gökhan, and that the women's struggle cannot be tried on June 23, 2021.”
