Boğaziçi protests: Police detain 5 people

The government's pressure on students of Boğaziçi University continues. Five more people who participated in the Boğaziçi protests were detained.  
New Center- In the morning, 30 detained students were released after being questioned. But police keep detaining people joining the protests.
Five people have been taken into custody for participating in demonstrations in Istanbul’s Kadıköyü district to protest the appointment of Melih Bulu as rector of Boğaziçi University by President Erdoğan.
Today, the Istanbul Governor’s office made a statement and said five people were detained and three people were wanted.
On February 1, 2021, police officers entered the south campus of the Boğaziçi University and attacked the students organizing demonstrations to protest the appointment of the rector for a month. Then, students in many cities of Turkey organized demonstrations to support the students of Boğaziçi University. Police attacked the students and detained many of them.
The students keep protesting the appointed rector.
