Belgian police raid Stêrk TV and Medya Haber TV

Belgian police raided the offices of Stêrk TV and Medya Haber TV in Belgium last night.

News Center- Belgian police raided the offices of Stêrk TV and Medya Haber TV in Belgium last night.

The offices are blockaded by Belgian police and the employees of the channels are not allowed to enter the offices.

The raids came right after Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq on Monday.

After the raids, Stêrk TV and Medya Haber TV released a statement condemning police raids on their offices.

“Turkey’s visits to the USA, Iraq and Iran, the deal with the KDP (the Kurdistan Democratic Party) and the visit of Turkey’s President Erdoğan to Iraq and the Barzanis are the latest attempts to implement this genocidal concept. The invasion attack on Metina constitutes the military part of this genocide,” the statement said.

“It is certain that this concept is an international attack concept. The raids on the offices of Medya Haber TV and Stêrk TV in Belgium at around 02:00 a.m. on April 23 is the most concrete evidence of this. Our offices are currently occupied by hundreds of police officers. We cannot remain silent against the raids aimed at silencing the voice of the Kurdish people.

“We call on our people to flock to the offices to stop these unlawful raids.”
