Baha’i woman arrested in Shiraz by IRGC Intelligence agents

Rouya Sabet, a Baha’i woman, was arrested in Shiraz and transferred to an undisclosed facility by IRGC Intelligence agents.

News Center- Rouya Sabet, a Baha’i woman, was arrested in Shiraz and transferred to an undisclosed facility by IRGC Intelligence agents.

 According to the received reports, Rouya Sabet travelled to Shiraz from the UAE on January 4 to take care of her elderly parents and she would return to the UAE on January 25; however, IRGC Intelligence agents raided the home of her parents on January 15.

After the search of her parents’ house, IRGC Intelligence agents interrogated her and two other family members. The IRGC Intelligence agents confiscated the passport, driver’s license, and ID card of Rouya Sabet and her parents’ mobile phones.

The Baha’i woman was arrested and transferred to an undisclosed facility. The reason for her arrest and the accusations against her are still unknown.
