At least four people were killed and dozens injured in the Israeli artillery strikes on the tents early morning of Friday. The injured people were reportedly transferred to a hospital in Khan Yunis, a city in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the local reports, Israel artillery strikes targeted civilian houses in the Shujayea and Tuffah neighborhoods of Gaza City on Thursday, killing and injuring many civilians, including children and women. The civil defense units transferred the injured people to Al-the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.
Kan News, a state-owned Israeli television channel, had announced that the Israeli military had initiated a ground operation in the Shujayea neighborhood.
