An arrest warrant has been issued for Free Women’s Movement (TJA) spokesperson Ayşe Gökkan.

Amed- The hearing of the case opened against Free Women’s Movement (TJA) spokesperson Ayşe Gökkan with the allegation of 'being member and manager of an [terrorist] organization” was held today by 9th High Criminal Court in Diyarbakır. Lawyer Nevzat Karaaslan attended the hearing on behalf of Ayşe Gökkan.

During the hearing, lawyer Nevzat Karaaslan stated that he did not accept confidential witness statements against his client, and he demanded the statement of his client to be taken in the next hearing.

After a break in court proceedings, the court issued an arrest warrant for Ayşe Gökkan.
