After the announcement, a video showing how women take up arms against the tyranny of Taliban was shared on Twitter with a note reading, “Women in Herat, Afghanistan take up arms against the Taliban...” After the video was shared on social media platforms, many posted tweets to support the women of Herat.

“They want to have a normal life like women living in other countries. But they have to take up arms because of the medieval tribal ecosystem. These women should wear whatever they want. Break disgusting patriarchal symbols. Yes, this will begin inside,” says one of the tweets.
