A man threw acid on a transwoman in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul. The transwoman was taken to a hospital after the attack. The attack reportedly caused vision loss in one of the eyes of the transwoman.

News Center- Last night, a man threw acid on a refugee transwoman (17) in front of her house located in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul. After the attack, the transwoman was taken to Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital. Artist Çağla Akalın visited the transwoman at the hospital and shared a video on her Instagram account. In the video, Çağla Akalın says that the transwoman has lost vision in one of her eyes.
