Imam Halit Karakaya, who was suspended for sexually abusing a child in Elazığ province, has retired.

News Center- 51-year-old imam Halit Karakaya sexually abused a child for six years in Elazığ province. An investigation was opened against him and he was suspended from job pending investigation. According to reports, a retirement decision has been made for the imam even if he has been suspended from his job. Lawyer of the child, Ali Aslan Emre said, “An investigation was opened against the suspect, an indictment was prepared against him. In this process, the process of suspending this person should have continued and the case should have been concluded in that way. It is not legally and conscientiously correct to retire the suspect in a hurry while the first hearing will be held soon.”
