‘Dirty foreheads cannot be cleaned by sajdah’
Yesterday, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ, AKP’s parliamentary candidate from Riha for the upcoming elections in Türkiye, visited Riha as part of his election campaign. Today, the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account, referring to the speech made by Bekir Bozdağ in Riha.
“The people know very well how those who lay their foreheads down in prostration to pray for Allah are involved in dirty things. Their dirty foreheads cannot be cleaned by sajdah and prayer rugs. The honorable people of Şanlıurfa will give the best response on May 14 to Bekir Bozdağ, who killed JUSTICE in the country,” the social media post of the Şenyaşar family said.
In his speech, Bekir Bozdağ said, “On May 14 (The election day), we will either see those who celebrate with champagne, or those who lay their clean foreheads down in prostration to praise Allah the rightful.” His speech sparks anger on social media platforms.
Not: Sajdah is the act of low bowing or prostration to Allah facing the qiblah. It is usually done in standardized prayers.
