Şenyaşar family’s sit-in protest enters its 373rd day

The sit-in protest held by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar in front of the Urfa Courthouse has entered its 373rd day.

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in Suruç by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, continues on its 373rd day.

“The best justice is the conscience of the people”

In the morning, the Şenyaşar family began to sit on the stairs of the Urfa Courthouse to demand justice for their killed relatives. The family also posted a tweet reading, “Society and conscience are stronger than states, money, and power. The best justice is the conscience of the people. The people stand with us. Those who remain silent about this persecution in the parliament are doomed to lose.”
