Şenyaşar family’s demand for setting up tent rejected
The Şenyaşar family applied to the Urfa Governor´s Office in order to set up a tent in front of the Urfa Courthouse due to cold weather but their demand has been rejected.
Riha- The sit-in protest staged by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, continues on its 287th day.
Today, Emine Şenyaşar couldn’t join her son Ferit Şenyaşar to hold their sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse due to her health problems.
On December 7, 2021, the Şenyaşar family applied to the Urfa Governor´s Office in order to set up a tent in front of the courthouse due to cold weather; however, their demand has been rejected.
“The prosecutors, who come to the courthouse with their latest model office cars, cannot do their duty out of fear. Our struggle for justice in front of Şanlıurfa Courthouse continues with determination on its 287th day,” the Şenyaşar family tweeted today.
