Şenyaşar family demands justice for victims of Suruç Massacre
Remembering the victims of the Suruç massacre, the Şenyaşar family said, “We commemorate 33 dream travelers with respect and gratitude.”
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 499th day.
In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their home in Urfa’s Suruç district to demand justice.
On the 499th day of their sit-in protest, the Şenyaşar family commemorated 33 people, who were killed in the suicide attack carried out by ISIS in the Suruç District of Urfa province, also known as Suruç Massacre or Suruç bombing, on 20 July 2015. “As long as the injustice continues, the pain and the tears of mothers will never end! We commemorate 33 dream travelers with respect and gratitude. Justice for Suruç, justice for everyone, justice for the Şenyaşar family,” the family wrote on their social media account.
