Îlham Ahmed: We are committed to Syria's territorial integrity

“We are committed to Syria’s territorial integrity,” Îlham Ahmed said at a public gathering in Marseille, stressing that integration is the only way to live together.

News Center- Îlham Ehmed, Co-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, participated in a public gathering held at Place des Roses in Marseille, France. Hundreds of people from Marseille and surrounding cities attended the gathering.

After a minute's silence for those who have lost their lives for freedom, Îlham Ahmed made a speech, pointing to the gains of the revolution in Rojava and Kurdish national unity and calling on the participants to preserve the spirit of fraternity among all Kurdish parties.

She reaffirmed their commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity, emphasizing that they are against the projects aiming to divide Syria and abide by the agreement signed on March 10. “The future of Syria is possible with a constitution based on equality and justice for all people.”

Turkish military operations in the region pose a threat to stability and endanger civilians, said Îlham Ahmed.

She also responded to allegations linking North and East Syria to the PKK as follows: Linking us to the PKK is completely wrong. The PKK is not active in North and East Syria.”

Emphasizing her belief in peaceful solutions, Îlham Ahmed said, “intergration is the only way for all people (in Syria) to live together.”
