Êzidî Women’s Council founded
Êzidî Women's Union held its first founding conference with the motto, “With the thought of the Democratic Nation, the Êzidî Women Will Attain Victory.” Dozens of women from Shengal and Germany also attended the conference. The women decided to found Êzidî Women’s Council.
Shahba - Êzidî Women's Union held its first founding conference at Mîtan Conference Hall located in the Ehdasê district of Shahbe with the motto, “With the thought of the Democratic Nation, the Êzidî Women Will Attain Victory.” 300 delegates and dozens of women from Shengal and Germany attended the conference.
Afrin Êzidî Women's Union Co-chair Suad Hiso made the opening speech. Suad Hiso drew attention to the edicts faced by the Êzidî community and the attacks faced by women during these edicts, “Women will protect Êzidîs’ faith.” After the opening speech, Kongreya Star Coordination member Eyşe Mehmûd took the floor.
Êzidî women announce the foundation of Êzidî Women’s Council
During the conference, a committee consisting of 15 coordination members and five people was elected to found the Êzidî Women’s Council. The women also made decisions about many issues such as education, diplomacy, culture, and art.
