61 female political prisoners in Evin prison will go on a hunger strike on Thursday to protest the recent executions in Iran, including the execution of young protester Mohammad Ghobadlou.

News Center- 61 female political prisoners jailed in Tehran’s Evin prison will go on a hunger strike on Thursday to protest the recent executions in Iran, including the execution of young protester Mohammad Ghovadlou, jailed Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nargess Mohammadi wrote on Instagram.

“Mohammad Ghobadlou was executed on Tuesday without getting a fair trial. 61 Female political prisoners jailed in Evin prison will go on a hunger strike on Thursday to protest the recent executions. There are hundreds of people, who have been sentenced to death, in the Islamic Republic's prisons across the country,” her Instagram post said.

Mohammad Ghobadlou, 23, was convicted of murder and “corruption on Earth” for allegedly running over a police officer with his car and killing him during a protest near Tehran in September 2022. He was executed on Tuesday morning.
