News Center- The US strikes on several areas in Yemen have killed at least 53 people, including five children and two women, and injured 101 others, the Houthi health ministry said on Monday.

In a statement posted to Telegram, a Houthi spokesperson described the US airstrikes on the country as “massacres by the American enemy against civilians”.

According to Houthi media outlets, two U.S. airstrikes targeted a cotton factory in the Zabid district of Al Hudaydah, western Yemen, and a government complex in Al-Hazm District, Yemen's northern Al-Jawf Governorate, on Monday.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have targeted dozens of merchant vessels with missiles, drones and small boat attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. In response, the United States has launched airstrikes against the Houthis in Yemen.

The United States will keep attacking Yemen's Houthis until they end attacks on shipping, the U.S. defense secretary said on Sunday.
