5-day hunger strike to be started in Ankara

A 5-day hunger strike will be started at DEM Party headquarters in Ankara to support political prisoners, who have been on a hunger strike demanding freedom for Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan for 59 days.

News Center- The alternating hunger strike started by political prisoners demanding “freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and a resolution to the Kurdish question” has entered its 59th day.

A 5-day hunger strike will be started at the People’s Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) headquarters in Ankara to support political prisoners on the hunger strike. The hunger strike will start tomorrow and end on Tuesday, January 30. The members of the DEM Party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), the Revolutionary Party and many other parties will reportedly support the hunger strike. According to the received reports, the members of the Peace Mothers’ Initiative will participate in the hunger strike on January 29.
