294th day of sit-in protest: Emine Şenyaşar faces another lawsuit
Emine Şenyaşar has been sued for allegedly insulting AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız.
Riha- Emine Şenyaşar’s husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız on June 14, 2018. She and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse to demand justice for their killed relatives for 294 days.
On the 294th day of the sit-in protest, Emine Şenyaşar has learned that a lawsuit has been sued against her for allegedly insulting AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız. In the indictment prepared against her for allegedly insulting “a public official”, AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız is a complainant. The indictment has been reportedly accepted by the Ankara Criminal Court of First Instance. In the indictment, Emine Şenyaşar is accused of insulting İbrahim Halil Yıldız in her statement issued on February 2, 2020, in front of the courthouse.
Lawsuits were previously sued against Emine Şenyaşar at the Urfa Criminal Court of First Instance for allegedly insulting İbrahim Yıldız and Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu. The lawsuits were then merged.
