25 Bodies Recovered from Rubble in Gaza, Including a Journalist
25 bodies, including women, recovered from rubble in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, and buried in official cemeteries
News Center_Civil defense teams in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, recovered 25 bodies, including women and journalist Hiba Al-Abadleh and her mother, from the ruins of homes destroyed during two years of Israeli attacks.
The Gaza Civil Defense announced on Thursday, December 25, that the bodies were retrieved from the Al-Astal family home in the Satr area, northwest of Khan Younis, and were buried in official cemeteries.
According to Gaza’s government media office, Israeli forces violated humanitarian protocols under the October 10 ceasefire agreement by limiting the entry of heavy machinery needed to remove debris and recover bodies, while allowing only restricted equipment to search for their own soldiers’ remains.
Families of the missing are identifying the recovered bodies amid the absence of specialized medical teams.
