200,000 Palestinians in northern Gaza left without food for 12 days

At least 200,000 residents in the northern Gaza Strip have been without food, water or medicine for 12 consecutive days, the Palestinian Civil Defense said in a statement late Wednesday.

News Center- Since October 7, 2023, at least 42,409 Palestinians have been killed and 99,153 others injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip while there are thousands of dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads and the civil defense crews cannot retrieve them due to ongoing Israeli attacks.

200,000 Palestinians without food for 12 days

At least 200,000 residents in the northern Gaza Strip have been without food, water or medicine for 12 consecutive days, the Palestinian Civil Defense said in a statement late Wednesday.

Palestinians in the Jabalia refugee camp are deprived of the essential supplies while the Israeli military continues to bomb and demolish buildings and infrastructure in northern Gaza, the statement said. “Jabalia is being systematically destroyed and faces death on a large scale.”

‘A deliberate policy of starvation is being implemented’

At the extraordinary session of the UN Security Council on Gaza on Wednesday, Ammar bin Jami, Algeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), accused Israel to “implement a deliberating policy of starvation” in Gaza, calling for a ceasefire to provide the necessary humanitarian aid to people in Gaza.
