12 pregnant women die of Covid in Ankara
12 pregnant women have reportedly died of Covid-19 in Ankara in 2021, all of whom were unvaccinated.
Ankara-Ankara Provincial Health Director Zülfikar Akelma made a statement regarding their works to fight against Covid-19 in Ankara.
Zülfikar Akelma announced that 12 pregnant women have died of Covid-19 in Ankara in 2021.
“All of them were young women. All of them died during their pregnancy or after giving birth. Five of them lived in Ankara city center while seven were transferred to the hospitals in Ankara from the surrounding provinces. All were unvaccinated. Pregnant women must get vaccinated. Covid-19 vaccines do not harm babies in the womb,” said Zülfikar Akelma in the statement.
